Not long ago I went for my first time to the Ravenswood Open Space Preserve, right off the Dumbarton Bridge in Menlo Park.
The place is beautiful. Small enough that you can explore it in relatively short amount of time, yet so rich with birds and photo opportunities that you might wonder why you have never been here before.
It’s a good place to get away to, refuge not only for the birds, but yourself; a place to stop and listen to the wind, the water and the birds. Come at sunset, depending on season, have good insulating layers. And enjoy the colors.
