As the course of 2020 is being heavily determined by the COVID-19 pandemic, some rethinking is in order. Two of my workshops have been canceled. They had been scheduled months in advance, but since the shelter-in-place has come in, any in-person event has been canceled.
Workshops are a big source of income and publicity for my business, so this situation is definitely affecting my bottom line. So I started to look into what I could do to try and transition some of my training activities online.
Online teaching coming up
With that in mind, I decided to start working on my material with the goal to replicate the experience of attending one of my presentations as much as possible online. At the same time, I will start recording classes that will be offered on platforms like Udemy and Udacity. I am also thinking to add a Facebook Group to the mix, so as to help the exchange of information among student members and myself, in true spirit of cooperation.
In addition, I have been thinking to also provide an additional workshop, laser-focused on moving from Auto to Manual mode, which I want to keep short.
In all honesty, it is a lot of unplanned work that I will try to squeeze into the daily schedule.
How you can support me
While I work on these projects, there are three ways you can help me and my business:
- Purchase a copy of my ebook online. If you do so, please provide an honest review, as that helps other buyers, as well as myself in understanding goods and bads of the current edition.
- My product photography business is still very active: the work is done remotely, since I can accept products deliveries and the whole process doesn’t require in-person contact. If you want to know more about how this works, head out to my commercial photography website.
- Purchase a print from my fine art gallery. Read more about Home Decor and Office Decor, or visit my gallery directly. I will be happy to answer any questions.
Of course, share this information with your friends and family. If you have any suggestions, I will be happy to hear from you anytime: write me an email!
In the meanwhile, stay healthy and safe.
