Seems like nowadays there’s a new and unique moon… every month or so :-) Maybe the media are just giving it more emphasis, as we are all and always fascinated with seeing and taking pictures of the moon.
This last Blood Moon, technically a total lunar eclipse, was a reason for me to get up at 3am and see it live. There are many factors into taking a good moon shot, including the length of your lenses, and the clarity of the atmosphere. With better luck, I have had better shots at it. Given the time at night, I didn’t stick around for the whole eclipse duration, but it was my first time watching it live. And that was special enough for me.
