I recently came back from my first trip to South America, in particular visiting Peru, challenging myself into a four day trek that led up to the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu.
Logistics were all taken care by a dear friend of mine, so all I had to put in was time and will. Before the trek, we visited Cusco and surroundings for the first two days, and after the trek we visited Lima for two days before heading back home.
I can only say great things about the whole experience, as we were hiking into one of the most desired destinations in the world, and the scenery was on par with expectations, so much that I decided to break out the photos I collected into multiple post to give the deserved coverage to the many locations visited.
I won’t leave you though without a sample of what’s to come, so please read through the post and stay tuned (rss, email, twitter) for more posts on my visit to Peru and Macchu Picchu.
